The big news of last week was the increase in nonfarm payrolls and the decrease in the headline unemployment number from 8.5% to 8.3%. However, both of these numbers contain significant noise and the workforce participation rate dropped to the lowest level since 1984.

In Europe, the March 20th Greek bond payment is fast approaching. It is unlikely that Greece has the ability to make this payment without further assistance from the ECB/EU/IMF, which seems unlikely without a deal involving private creditor haircuts. Negotiations with private creditors have stalled.

This week, there is a light economic calendar and UST auctions of 3s, 10s, and 30s.
